Viewing Playwright Attempts and Trace tab results

View Playwright attempts with inline error context and explore network calls and attachments in the embedded trace viewer.

View the Playwright attempts and the trace of a Playwright-backed test case log.

Context

For Playwright-backed test case logs, two additional tabs appear beyond the standard tabs (Assertions, Logs, Execution details, Affected requirements, and Attachments): Attempts, showing each Playwright attempt with its error context rendered inline, and Trace, an embedded Playwright trace viewer for console logs, network calls, and attachments. Robot logs for these executions appear in the standard Logs tab instead. For details, see How Playwright artifact capture works.

Steps

  1. Open a Playwright-backed test case log.
  2. Select the Attempts tab to see each Playwright attempt with its error context rendered inline.
  3. Select the Trace tab to open the embedded Playwright trace viewer for console logs, network calls, and attachments.
Note:

If a Playwright artifact's retention period has expired, its entry shows a Retention expired state instead of the attachment. Refer to Testing Data retention policy.

Result

The Attempts and Trace tabs show the Playwright attempts and the trace of the test case log.
