Maestro user guide
Home
The Home tab is your starting point in UiPath Maestro™. It gives you an overview of everything that matters most, your active processes, incidents, templates, and learning resources,so you can move quickly from insight to action. From this dashboard, you can start new modeling work, monitor performance, or follow up on recent executions without switching tools.
Each area of the homepage is designed to support a specific goal:
- Get started faster: Use the top banner and templates to create or open process models directly in Studio Web.
- Stay informed: Track recent projects, live process instances, and key metrics such as average duration or faulted runs.
- Troubleshoot and improve: Monitor incidents, review failed processes, and see where attention is needed most.
- Keep learning: Access the latest learning materials, examples, and videos to strengthen your Maestro skills.
Together, these sections make the Home page a control center for both new and experienced users, helping you design, monitor, and continuously improve your process landscape.
Navigation panel
Located at the top-left side of the homepage, the navigation panel lets you switch between:
- Home: The Maestro homepage.
- Process instances: Navigate to the process instance runs. Find here your top processes by instances, by duration, and a graphic for the Process Instance Status, as well as a list with your processes.
- Process incidents: Navigate to the process incidents page to find a graphic representation of your incidents over time, your Top 10 processes with failures, and your Top 10 failed elements.
Top banner
The top banner contains the start modeling button, where you can start creating your process model with UiPath Studio Web, using BPMN 2.0 constructs. You can also access an introductory video about UiPath Maestro™.
Recent projects
View the most recent projects you created in Studio Web. You can also see all projects by selecting the View all projects link.

Process templates
Use available templates to get started with process modeling.
You can choose from three process templates, mapped on common use-cases:
-
Invoice processing
-
Loan processing
-
Supplier onboarding

Process monitoring
- Top processes by instances: Monitor your top 5 processes with the most instance runs
- Incidents: Monitor how many incidents have been logged across all processes. You can view all incidents, by process, with details. You can also change the timeline view (last day/week/month) to get process monitoring statistics with those timelines.
- Live instances: Get an overview of the total live instances for all processes, and a distribution of instances that are running and failed.
The following diagram shows how Maestro supports process monitoring. It highlights how users track running processes, review performance indicators, and identify delays or exceptions in real time.

Process instances
This section displays the process name and description, and also key-metrics:
- Average duration for all runs
- Total number of instances that faulted
- Number of process versions published
- Folder that the process resides in
The following diagram shows how Maestro manages process incidents. It illustrates how incidents move from detection and classification to resolution, helping users maintain smooth process execution.

You can start a new run of your process directly from this section, by pressing the
run button on top of the process tile.
Learning section
Find in the learning section the most recent relevant learning materials.
