Label propagation for test executions
Test executions and test case logs carry over the labels of the test sets and test cases you run, so you can search and filter results by the labels you use to organize your tests. Carried-over labels include:
- User-generated labels
- Autopilot-generated labels
- SAP-related labels
For more information, refer to the Test results section of the documentation.
Testing Process Governance is generally available
Testing Process Governance, a set of governance and compliance features for customers who need a review-and-sign-off layer over their testing process, is generally available. Testing Process Governance lets you govern individual test cases, assign approvers, and move objects through In Work, In Review, and Signed states as they are reviewed and signed off. This feature is available in Test Manager only when delivered via Test Cloud.
You can also set the governance state for multiple test cases at once from the Test Cases grid instead of toggling Governed individually, and require approvers on a governed test case to sign in a specific order instead of any order. When signing order is enforced, only the last signature can be voided.
For more information, refer to Testing Process Governance, Enabling or disabling governance in bulk for test cases, and Enforcing signing order for governed test cases.
Testing Process Governance extends to test case logs
Governance extends to test case logs, the records created each time a governed test case is executed. A log inherits its parent test case's governed status and approvers at the moment it is created, but can then be governed or un-governed independently, and always starts in In Work regardless of the parent's approval state at execution time.
Signing, voiding, and commenting work largely the same as for test cases, with two differences: reverting a Signed log all the way back to In Work is a separate, explicit action that voids every signature at once, and commenting is open to anyone with the Test Process Governance permission or update rights on the log, not only assigned approvers.
For more information, refer to Testing Process Governance for test case logs.
Reporting and project export for governance data
Governance data, approval state, approvers, and each approver's declared role, are included in the PDF test execution report and in bulk Excel export, and can optionally be carried over when exporting or importing a project as a .tmh file.
For more information, refer to Testing Process Governance for test case logs.
Custom fields of type Rich Text
Create custom fields of type Rich Text to capture longer, structured information, such as test design notes or detailed context. The field uses a rich text editor that supports the following formats:
- Text styles:
- Bold
- Italics
- Underline
- Normal text
- Structure and linking:
- Hyperlinks
- Tables
- Bullet lists
- Numbered lists
Content is stored as markdown, is full-text searchable, and supports up to 50,000 characters. In the grid, only the first line of content is shown. The full text is visible on the object's detail page.
This feature is available in Test Manager only when delivered via Test Cloud. If a Rich Text custom field is created by a Test Cloud user and the project is then assigned to a non-Test Cloud user, that user can view the field's content but cannot edit it.
For more information, refer to the Custom fields section of the documentation.
See who created and last updated your test assets
The overview lists for the following objects include Created by and Updated by columns that you can add from the column selector:
- Test cases
- Requirements
- Test sets
- Test executions
Use the columns to see ownership and recent changes at a glance, without opening each object.
For more information, refer to Applying filters and views for test cases.

See which override parameters are used by the linked automation
Every parameter you override for a test case in a test set is passed to the automation, but automations that don't declare a matching input argument ignore it — with no way to tell which overrides actually take effect. The Override Parameters panel now has an In automation column (Yes / No) for each parameter, so you can see this before you run the test set. This reflects the automation package and version currently linked to the test case, shown when you hover the Automated indicator for that test case in the test case list.
For more information, refer to the Overriding parameters section of the documentation.
