August 2026 release notes for Test Manager in Automation Cloud Public Sector and Test Cloud Public Sector.

Test case description in manual execution
The manual execution assistant shows the test case description in a collapsible panel above Precondition, so testers have the full context without leaving the execution window. For details, see Executing manual tests.
Asynchronous Excel export with per-custom-field columns
Exporting requirements and test cases to Excel is asynchronous. You are notified when the file is ready instead of waiting on the request. Both exports also gain one column per custom field definition, instead of a single column concatenating all values, and test case exports let you collapse step rows to keep large exports scannable. For details, see Export data.
Automation link status visible across all test case views
Test Manager consistently shows whether a test case already has an automation linked everywhere you view test cases, not only from within a test set. For details, see Selecting automation.
Bug fixes
Exports
- Fixed multi-log PDF and ZIP exports occasionally producing corrupted or incomplete archives.
- Fixed test case export headers occasionally showing in the wrong language when multiple users exported from the same session in different locales.
- Fixed download links inside exported Excel and PDF files, such as assertion screenshots and import summaries, returning an error instead of downloading.
Test cases and requirements
- Fixed the object filter API returning a
500error instead of a400for empty filter values, a missing data view, or invalid paging parameters. - Fixed automation-link data not being populated for test cases that were re-run manually after an automated execution.
- Fixed moving a test result to In Review while evidence from a linked Orchestrator job was still syncing, which could show an incomplete result; the action waits for sync to finish.
- Fixed the data retention banner appearing on Automation Suite projects; it is shown only on Automation Cloud, where it applies.
- Fixed the Requirements card view showing stale test case data after switching between requirement cards.
Migrations
- Fixed a test automation data migration that could leave orphaned records behind if it failed partway through; failed migrations roll back completely.
- Fixed an error when migrating test sets if your selection spanned more than one folder; the selection clears automatically when you switch folders.
Integrations and accessibility
- Fixed the SAP connection dialog showing a generic error instead of the actual connection failure reason, for example a certificate or authentication error.
- Fixed
clipboardDatabeing silently discarded when set through bulk test step operations over the API, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or Command Line Interface (CLI); the value is saved correctly. - Fixed three accessibility issues across shared and test management UI components: labeling, focus handling, and keyboard interactions.
Breaking changes
- Removed the iText PDF library dependency — reading PDF attachments in the cloud is text-only, and image extraction from PDF attachments is no longer supported. PDF export is unaffected.

Upcoming deprecation of the GPT-4o model in Autopilot
We are deprecating the GPT-4o model in Autopilot. Support for GPT-4o will end on October 31, 2026. Before this date, switching to a supported alternative model in your AI Trust Layer Policy avoids disruption to test generation, quality checks, and other Autopilot capabilities that rely on model selection.
