Move Email

Description

Moves an email to a folder within the same mailbox.

Scopes

This activity requires the following scopes:

  • Mail.ReadWrite

OR

  • Mail.ReadWrite.Shared

Configuration

  • Microsoft Outlook 365 connection - The connection for the Microsoft 365 account to use in the activity.
  • Use shared mailbox - Set the toggle to On if you want to use a shared mailbox. Default value is Off.
    • Shared mailbox - The email address of a user or shared mailbox. This field supports String type input.
  • Email to move - The email to move. This can be retrieved from a trigger or via a For Each Email activity. This field accepts Office365Message variables. Use the See more button menu to use a variable as the input mode.
  • To email folder - The folder where to move the email. Browse the Outlook folders and select the folder. This field accepts IResource input. Use the plus icon to use a variable as the input mode. In addition, select the plus icon to access the following options:
    • Reload Email Folder Picker - Select this option if you have modified your email folders and need to retrieve the latest data.
    • Folder path - Manually specify the path to the destination folder. When you select this option, the following becomes visible:
      • Create missing folders - If the activity does not find the specified folder structure, it will automatically create it. By default, this option is set to True.

Additional options

Input

  • Shared mailbox - The email address of a user or a shared mailbox to which to move the email. This property supports String variables and string formatted values.

Output

  • Email - The moved email. Automatically generated output variable. You can use it as it is or save it with a different name. You can use this in other activities.
