Description

Inserts text into marked fields in a Google Docs document.

Configuration

  • Google Docs connection - The connection for the Google Workspace account to use in the activity.

  • Document - The document used to insert text into marked fields. Select the folder icon to browse your Google Drive folders. In addition, select the plus menu option and select one of the following:

    • URL or ID - This switches the current field to Document Url, where you can provide the URL or ID of the document used to insert text into marked fields. You cand find the ID as a property on a previous Drive file or in the document url.
    • Use File Variable - Enter a variable for your document.
    • Reload File Data - Select this option if you have updated your files and need to retrieve the latest data.
    • File Picker - Select this option to switch the field to the main one, Document.

    When you select Use document template the following field is displayed:

    • Document template - The document template used to identify the marked fields. Select the folder icon to browse for a template.
  • Document fields - The list of fields identified in the selected document.

Additional options

  • Symbol - The symbol used to indicate a document field. Select one of the options from the available dropdown menu: [ ], [[ ]], { }, {{ }}, < >, << >>.
