Navigating the Package sidebar
Package sidebar for inspecting solution package versions and deployments without leaving the Packages tab in Automation Cloud.
Overview
The Package sidebar provides a contextual view of solution package details directly from the Packages tab. It lets you inspect package versions and related deployments without navigating to separate pages. On the sidebar, you can switch between the two tabs (Deployments and Versions) to view different aspects of the selected package.
At the top of the sidebar, you can see the package name you select, the latest published version, an Upgrades available chip (when an upgrade exists), the package author, and the publish time. The Deployments tab is open by default. The sidebar header also has a Download button.
You can start a new deployment directly from the Package sidebar by selecting Deploy from the sidebar action buttons. This action uses the same deployment flow as starting a deployment from the Packages list.
Expanding the Package sidebar
To expand the Package sidebar, do the following:
- Navigate to Orchestrator > Solutions.
- Select the Packages tab.
- From the list, select a solution package.
The Package sidebar opens on the right side of the screen and remains in context while you browse package information.
Navigating the Versions tab
The Versions tab displays all published versions of the selected solution package. For each version, the following information is available:

|---|---|
| Version | The version number of the solution package. The latest version has a Latest chip. |
| Publish date | The date and time when the package version was published. |
| Author | The name and email address of the user who published the package. Hidden by default. To show it, use the columns menu. |
| Release notes | Release notes associated with the package version, if provided at publish time. |
Each version row has a Deploy icon and a menu with Deploy, Download package, and Delete. Delete is unavailable for versions that are installed by an active deployment.
Navigating the Deployments tab
The Deployments tab displays all deployments created from the selected solution package.
You can use the search field and filters to narrow down deployments by last operation, status, or activation state.
The columns are the same as in the main Deployments tab:

|---|---|
| Name | The name of the solution deployment. The Orchestrator folder where the solution is deployed shows under the name. |
| Status | The current status of the deployment. |
| Stages | The progress of the deployment phases. |
| Version | The deployed solution version. An upgrade indicator may be shown if a newer version is available. |
| Last operation | The most recent operation performed on the deployment, such as Install, Uninstall, Activation setup, Change version, or Edit configuration. |
| Business owner | The business owner set for the deployment, or Unassigned. |
