Agents user guide
Last updated May 15, 2026
To start building agents, you must meet the following prerequisites:
- Purchase the licenses that give you access to agents. For details, refer to the Licensing section.
- Provision Integration Service in your organization. For details, refer to Managing services in Automation Cloud.
- Have robot accounts available for your tenant. For details, refer to Robot accounts.
- When running agents from Studio Desktop in a shared folder (not a Personal Workspace), add an unattended robot identity to the folder. This identity is required for agent execution in shared folders and does not consume an unattended robot license during development or debugging. For setup details, refer to Assigning objects to a folder.
- Enable personal automations and personal workspaces. Running an automation in Studio Web performs the necessary provisioning automatically. You can also perform the steps manually, as described on the following documentation pages: Enabling personal workspaces, Enabling personal automation.
